A flail mower — also called a mulcher, or mulching mower — mulches grass, scrub and light brush into fine material instead of throwing it, unlike a slasher. Available in widths from 1.05m to 2.2m to suit compact and mid-range tractors from 15HP to 100HP.

What is a Mulcher?

A mulcher (flail mower) uses free-swinging Y-blades or hammer flails on a rotating drum to shred grass, scrub and light brush into fine mulch, rather than cutting and throwing it like a slasher. This makes a mulcher the safer, tidier choice for orchard floors, roadsides, and areas where mulch quality and debris control matter.
